Programme Overview
Training Description
Session Objectives
- Define the role and importance of Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP). Assess physical and cyber vulnerabilities of infrastructure systems. Apply resilience frameworks for continuity of operations. Integrate risk-based protective measures into management plans. Coordinate across agencies and stakeholders for CIP. Analyze case studies of infrastructure attacks and failures. Explore innovations in protecting future infrastructure systems.
About the Course
Critical Infrastructure Protection is a comprehensive training course designed to equip professionals with the knowledge and practical strategies required to identify, assess, protect, and strengthen the resilience of critical infrastructure and essential services against natural hazards, technological failures, cyber threats, security incidents, and other disruptive events.
Key areas include critical infrastructure risk assessment, threat and vulnerability analysis, asset identification and prioritization, physical security, cybersecurity, operational technology security, emergency preparedness, business continuity, disaster recovery, crisis management, incident response, resilience planning, and stakeholder coordination.
Through case studies, risk assessment exercises, scenario-based simulations, and infrastructure protection planning activities, participants will develop the ability to identify critical vulnerabilities, prioritize protective measures, strengthen continuity of essential services, and develop practical infrastructure resilience strategies.
