Design sustainable systems for food production and shelter. Integrate water harvesting and soil conservation techniques. Develop strategies for energy efficiency and renewable resources. Apply permaculture design to urban and rural contexts. Promote sustainable living and community resilience.
About the Course
The Permaculture Design Training Course provides participants with practical knowledge and skills for designing sustainable, productive, and resilient agricultural and ecological systems based on permaculture principles. The course explores how natural ecosystems can inspire the design of integrated systems that efficiently use land, water, energy, biodiversity, and other available resources.Through practical exercises, design activities, case studies, and group projects, participants will learn how to assess a site, identify available resources and constraints, map ecological relationships, develop appropriate design strategies, and create integrated permaculture systems. The course also examines climate resilience, biodiversity conservation, sustainable livelihoods, food security, and community-based resource management. Participants will develop the ability to apply permaculture design principles to real-world agricultural and community settings, supporting more resilient, regenerative, and resource-efficient production systems.
