About the Course
The Drought-Resilient Agriculture and Climate-Smart Farming Training Course equips participants with practical knowledge and skills to develop agricultural systems capable of maintaining productivity and livelihoods under drought, water scarcity, and changing climatic conditions.Participants will learn how to assess farm vulnerability to drought, select appropriate adaptation strategies, improve water and soil management, and develop resilient crop and livestock production systems. Through practical exercises, case studies, and farm-planning activities, the training provides practical approaches for reducing drought-related losses and strengthening agricultural resilience.
The course also examines early warning systems, climate information, livelihood diversification, sustainable land management, resource efficiency, and risk management, enabling participants to integrate drought preparedness and adaptation into farm and agricultural development plans.
