Session Objectives
- Understand the UAS threat landscape and potential vulnerabilities. Master drone operation and surveillance tactics for security missions. Identify and differentiate between authorized and unauthorized drone activity. Evaluate and deploy various Counter-UAS detection technologies (e.g., radar, RF, acoustic). Analyze and implement C-UAS mitigation strategies (e.g., jamming, spoofing, kinetic). Adhere to legal and regulatory frameworks governing drone use and countermeasures. Develop a comprehensive drone security and response plan for a critical site. integrate drone data and C-UAS intelligence into existing security operations.
About the Course
This intensive training is designed to provide security professionals, law enforcement, and critical infrastructure managers with dual expertise: safely leveraging drone technology for surveillance and reconnaissance while simultaneously learning to detect, identify, and mitigate hostile or unauthorized Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) threats. The curriculum covers legal frameworks, airspace regulation, operational tactics, and hands-on practice with various C-UAS (Counter-UAS) systems like radar, RF jammers, and kinetic measures. Participants will gain the practical skills needed to develop robust drone security policies and effectively manage the rapidly evolving drone threat landscape in both public safety and defense contexts.
