Develop strategies for integrated pest and disease management. Design diversified and resilient farming systems. Assess the social, economic, and ecological benefits of agroecology. Apply agroecological practices to improve soil health and fertility. Promote the adoption of agroecology in different agricultural contexts.
About the Course
The Agroecology, Climate Resilience and Sustainable Farming Training Course equips participants with practical knowledge and skills to apply ecological principles to agricultural production while improving soil health, biodiversity, resource efficiency, and farm resilience.Participants will learn how to assess farm ecosystems, identify opportunities for agroecological improvement, manage natural resources efficiently, and develop farming systems that are better adapted to climate variability, drought, soil degradation, pests, diseases, and other agricultural risks.Through practical exercises, case studies, farm-planning activities, and group discussions, participants will develop skills in agroecological farm design, sustainable production planning, resource management, biodiversity enhancement, climate adaptation, and monitoring of farm sustainability. The training also considers the economic and social dimensions of sustainable agriculture, including farmer livelihoods, local food systems, market opportunities, knowledge sharing, community participation, and inclusive agricultural development.
